Separation of Church and State?

Apparently it means very different things to different people. Most people, including “a significant number of Baptists [and] some Protestants, believe […] that the term […] in no way limits religion in the state, but merely refers to the state’s responsibility to refrain from exerting authority over ecclesial bodies.”-http://wiki.ask.com/Baptists_in_the_history_of_separation_of_church_and_state?qsrc=3044
“”More people go to church on Sunday than go to all the professional sporting events combined in a year,” [Rick Santorum] said.”-AP 2/27/12 What has that got to do with being a good president? Church is free (donation = voluntary), professional sporting events are not free. Worry about the economy, not about whether and how many people are going to church!
