Some Thoughts on the Olympics

I am glad that every country finally sent men AND WOMEN to the Olympics. But it would be nice if their efforts were acknowledged and praised.

I still don’t consider boxing a sport. But now women also have a chance to beat the crap out of each other for Olympic medals. I guess that is a step forward…?
Is it a rule that athletes (especially track athletes) ‘wear’ their country’s flag when they win?
I have been noticing many athletes apologizing to their countries for not winning/doing better.

The Olympics are supposed to be a celebration of the athletes, not a ‘my country is better than your country’ competition.
Also, what is with biting the medal?
